The year is 1855, and the port of Sebastopol is still under siege by the Allies, the Russians putting up a vigorous defence. The Crimean War ends with a whimper as the Russians escape from Sebastopol. Peterson is captured, Gentleman Jack is demoted and camel mounted artillery makes it's debut and exits with Betsy still alive, and well. Irony abounds and the Crossman epic moves to a new venue.
good book, enjoyed reading it very much.reminds me of reading the sharpe's series. about a single squad trying to get through the nepoleanic wars.
Great Story. Not quite the same quality as Cornwell, but a good read.
