Good day to all who read, I purchased these books with the encouragement of a friend who also had a set. I begin reading and doing a study in the Book of Genesis. I became enthralled with all of the information that was presented. Mr. Exell uses all of his resources to exhaust and show a variety of thought and study to present a whole and determined view for the student of Holy Scriptures. My library is full of great works and wisdom from those whom God has blessed with wisdom to put to paper what He has blessed them with, However none can can compare to the wisdom within the Borders of this set of books.

I purchased The Biblical Illustrator in 1999-2000. I also have many
other Commentaries from the great Biblical conservative expositors.
This ranks at the top of my list mainly because Author Exell covers
every Scripture verse so comprehensively it will make your head spin
with thoughts and ideas from so many angles and directions. Many
commentators dance around or are even silent on some of the more
difficult verses in the Bible but Author Exell does not! Because his
Commentary is so in depth and is Scripturally based (all his entries
are Scriptural referenced) any doubts are eventually laid to rest at the
Spiritual logic of his conclusions. Take Hebrews 64, one of the more
divisive and controversial Scriptures in the Bible. Many commentators
just avoid this or just say it only applies to the Hebrews and not to us.
Exell devotes such thoughtful insights into the interpretation of these
verses, after reading (be sure you set aside a lot of time) one comes
away with not only a very good understanding of what the Author of
Hebrews was conveying, but the truth behind these divine Words spoken
through the Holy Spirit. Exell covers every aspect relating to this passage
in a way that no one I've read can come close to explaining. The sheer
volume of his explainations using quotes of other distinguished writers
reinforce his ideas and thoughts of his commentaries. With 23 volumns,
It does the Bible justice in explaining each verse of the Bible in a
thoughtful and comprehensive way. But be forewarned, this is not
for the faint hearted, it is so comprehensive, if you don't enjoy reading,
this is not for you. The index in the last volumn references every idea
and subject by Book and page number. The books are bound in red and
all 23 books make an impressive addition to any book shelf.
This is described as a 3 volume commentary on all the books of the Bible. I was very disappointed when product arrived to find it was only an index, no commentaries enclosed. It has no practical usage however without the commentaries that were suppose to be sent and were not.
I ordered this set,the set was immaculate, I received it before the expected delivery date, and the customer service from the merchant was better than expected. I could not have been more satisfied
More reference than I was seeking.
